Thank you for your interest in using the Biological Imaging Facility (BIF)! UC Berkeley has adopted new policy that campus facilities now interface with corporate users through a comprehensive marketplace platform called Second Lab. Second Lab will handle the business contracts and insurance requirements, as well as payments. The good news is that the contracts have been streamlined, and they can also accept credit cards. Once your company is in the Second Lab system, you can also gain access to other UC Berkeley facilities as well. The BIF will still handle safety training, as well as instrument training for your users before reservations on our equipment can occur. I invite you to sign up in Second Lab as a first step in using the BIF. Once your group has completed on boarding through Second Labs, we may proceed.
